I have to design a filter for the acquisition of an ecg signal. What is the frequency components present in an ecg signal. Are there any software which can simulate such signals? Thanks in advance...

Re: Fourier Transform of an ECG signal

Why won't You use the signals from physionet.org? There are many databases with ECG records.
The most important information in ECG signal is at the range of 0.1Hz up to 40 Hz. It is necessary to cut off the 50/60 Hz frequency from power suply.
Sometimes the ECG is analised at higher frequencies, but mostly the databases from physinet are sampled at 250-360 Hz.

Re: Fourier Transform of an ECG signal

frequency in ECG signals is upto 45Hz above its all is noise. so use a low pass filter to remove high frequency components.
