What are the effects of placing patterned poly shielding?

Patterned Shielding

Hi Guys:

Would it be advisable to place a patterned poly shielding underneth the Bondpads for RF applications for shielding purpose. What are the drawbacks and advantage of doing this?. Thanks in advance
