Hi,everyone!
Can you tell me what are the distintive things between FM and PM?

Question on FM/PM?

In FM: instantaneous frequency of the signal varies with respect to modulating signal
IN PM: the instantaneous phase varies with respect to modulating signal
Both fall under the category of angle modulation
If an integrator is added before the phase modulator...it becomes a frequency modulator
Conversely if a differentiator is added before the phase modulator...it becomes a frequency modulator...
FM is bandwidth ineffecient and power effecient...non linear amplification can be used
Whereas PM is bandwidth efecient but power ineffecient ...it requires linear amplifiers
