hello everyone.

can you tell me What are the advantage and disadvantage of Darlington pair?
 

One disadvantage in a switching application is that when the device is fully "on" you have the saturation voltage of the upper transistor plus the base-emitter diode drop of the lower transistor. With a single transistor, you only have the saturation voltage. In an amplifier application, the device is more difficult to temperature stabilize, since you have the base-emitter voltage change of two base-emitter diodes.
