i am just trying to understand what are device drivers for Arm cortex microcontrollers .I have a STm32 Kit and wanted to program it.So if anyone can explain it and also how to use it

Hi angy
First, you need a suitable development environment, you need to install the iar for arm or keil for arm on your computer. Both software I have used, I think keil would be better.Of course, I just recommend.
Second,A programmer is required, whether it is jlink, ulink or other.Under normal circumstances, when they are plugged into the USB port, windows will install the drivers automatically.also you can install the driver using the driver assistant.
Finally,You can visit the official website of ST, you can easily find the STM32 firmware library and some demo, download them to your chip. Usually the first demo are GPIO,Good luck for you.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Thanks

Yes i agree with dreamtale.

If you are not fimiliar with iar use keil for development becuase i think there are a lot examples and projects.
