There is a weird component in my collection that I got from a guy who bought it at a flee market. The guy who sold it claimed that it is a LASER diode .... but I'm in doubt about it.
A quick search on the Web indicates to be a kind of gas sensor, manufacturer EEV, model VQ2. However, knowing how this works, whether it's burned or not, is another story.
I also did not find much information on that specific model, but at least now you are aware that it is not a laser sensor, but gas sensor, more precisely a "pellistor" (whose name I frankly don't remember if I heard it before). You will probably have to infer for yourself the characteristic parameters of this component.
