Weintek hmi communication

I am having a 10 inch weintek hmi that has rs232 port. I am connecting it to pc rs232 terminal . The serial monitor software in the pc i am using is docklight baudrate is 9600
In hmi i am creating a toggle switch if i press the toggle switch i am not receiving any data in pc docklight kindly help how to do this
