WebPack ISE 8.1i and windows vista

has anybody tried to install WebPack ISE 8.1i on windows vista? is that even possible? i know it is an older version but i need to use it with some of the older designs. i tried installing it but my computer just freezes. i'd appreciate any advice.
 

Install it under Windows XP or Windows XP Sp3 compatibility mode and run it as an Administrator.

Many software which refused to install/run on Vista run like a charm in compatibility mode.
