Can any one help me out for design of waveguide to coax transition adapters basic theory mathematical calculation for coax pin location , depth of pin, diameter of pin, so that one can go for any band adapters design
Hello, I have realized a WG to coaxial line transition in X band but I don't understand what you really need.. do u have an idea of the RF losses tha you expect?
You can consult the famous book by T.Moreno: Microwave Transmission Design Data, Dover, N.Y. 1948 for an analysis of the problem.
There are many microwave and mm-wave companies making those transitions. Everyone spent time in finding a good design, and keep the know-how.
The know-how earns money for many people, so no one is willing to expose it to you.
The problem of coaxial-waveguide transition theory is that it delivers no straight answers. You must experiment till you find a suitable solution.
Good luck!
I am going through some good papers of 1950s about transtions waveguide to coax...
I am learning good ,still want to know how coax impedance (50 ohm) is carried to waveguide impedance (gernerally change in connector pin dimenstion ,position ,and depth),I can achieve for a frequency but waveguide impedance is also frequency dependent sobroadband match is challenging, that broabband concept i want to find out
