i am incharge of water supply arrangements of railway establishments in chennai area . the following systems are available to feed water in different location
1) water is collected in ground level reservoir and then pumped to one over head tanks
2)water is collected in ground level reservoir and then pumped to more than one over head tank located at diffrent places. in this scheme number of pumps at pump house are more than one and water flow is regulated in delivery line by operating mechenical valves
3) submercible pumps are used to feed the water to over head tanks and than water is distributed
kindly suggest some schemes for automation and posibilities of having centralised control room for remote monitoring and operation of pumps.
