Re: TCP/IP and Ethernet

Wrong link and the datasheets can be downloaded from the web, so don't put them here!

The link should be:

http://mechatronic.net/produkte/Halbleiter/WizNet.htm

Datasheets:

http://mechatronic.net/produkte/Halbleiter/WizNet/PDF/47WN001--i2Chip3100.pdf
http://mechatronic.net/produkte/Halbleiter/WizNet/PDF/W3100A Datasheet 1.1.pdf

Quote from site:

The W3100 is an ASSP (Application Specific Standard Product), the world's first hardwired TCP/IP chip with Ethernet Interface. It is designed for high speed applications because of its loopback speed of more than 3 Mbps.

Re: TCP/IP and Ethernet

hi
I read the roadmap of wiznet(www.iinchip.c0m) I saw the w3200,w3300,w3400,and they must released these chips at 2003 but that chips are not released yet!!!

why that company does not released these chips?
Is these comany reliable ?

Regards

Re: TCP/IP and Ethernet

I know what you mean about the roadmap, according to it the W3100 was available in 2001. There are certainly no signs of the later chips, even a google search can't find them.

Circuit Cellar have an article on it here:

**broken link removed**

The W3100 does look interesting and I may see if I can obtain some samples when time permits.

I note that some of the stockists listed for the part are listing them, along with the evaluation modules.

I'll report back if I get any samples.

Cheers,
FoxyRick
