I want to know the basic principle of a voltmeter via a 16F877 since I acquired a proper AC voltage alternating what I know for now I will read the digital conversion of the ADC and then I'll make a program that determines the maximum value of this signal the end of achieving effective value Veff = Vmax / root 2 and multiply with the division ratio to determine the real value in a line of 230V?? Please help by you by your experiences, tips or

I want to know if it is possible or not first also if there is a diagram that is very good§!!!!

look at openenergymonitor.org
the code is for arduino but you can look at it and port to suit your need.. Good luck
