voltage follower circuit as buffer

can anybody please explain me in simplest language abt the working and application of voltage follower ckt as a buffer...i have doubts on the concept of current and voltage loading to...please help ASAP.also please clear the doubt if cc configuration is voltage follwer or no.:idea:
