VOIP Voice Quality - How to qualify?

We are going to build VOIP phones. I want to know how to qualify the voice quality in packetized voice.
 

you shoud use hardware filter and DSP to get qualified voice signal.

I knew the the basic architecture of the VOIP phones should a ARM plus some analog front-end. I want to knew that the Qos (Quality of Service) on the voice quality. How is bad and how is acceptable?
 

Hi
the traditional way is to use Mean opinion Score (MOS).
But what you can measure is Delay, Packet Lost and Echos.
 

can any one give me info abt MOS
