VHDL/Verilog Editor under Linux

i prefer gvim.
 

jedit verilog mode

under unix or unix-like os, vi or vi-clones is always recommended.

vi is classic.

But I wonder how can I make vi support highlight for Verilog's key word?

vim vhdl highlight

You can change to the vhdl mode in emacs by typing "M-x vhdl-mode" (M-x is the meta key combination, in many case ALT - x). It is quite good.

Since VI is so poplar in VHDL editing, anyone knows how to use ctags with VHDL files or some similar tools?
