visual elite tutorial

say I want to learn VHDl programming.
Where do a start? I'm a complete newbie on this subject.
Is there something like
"VHDL in 24 Hours?"
:sm16:

I think there is a tutorial on Aldec's website, where you can also download a demo of their Active VHDL.

https://www.aldec.com/ActiveHDL/

There are also some e-books on the subject.

Maybe this file can help You. 8)

great

Thanks everyone.
I'll have a look at the site. I already downloaded the cookbook. Can't wait to start programming.
I found some more posts in the forum covering the same subject. So I have a lot to try out and work with.
Great! :D

State diagram

One Last question.
In what way, if any, is VHDL linked to graphic programming using state diagrams?
Or maybe it not at all linked?

You can design VHDL visually by using such programs as Active HDL, HDL Designer, Visual Elite.

hope it helps you.
