vhdl to schematic

Hello,

Does anyone know how to convert a VHDL code to schematic in Quartus II ?

It might be a simple process but I can't seem to find my way about it.

Thanks.

rtl to schematic conversion

i think you can convert schematic to HDL in QII but not opposite if i am not mistaken...

vhd to schematic

hi all,

i think there is option of your problem:idea:

thanx.....

Hi,
I cannot understand your need. vhdl to schematic?? you mean vhdl RTL to schematic or vhdl netlist to schematic. I dont think you can have a schematic corresponding to an RTL.
secondly why would you need it for(if it is schematic for RTL)

Yes I am looking for VHDL RTL to schematic..

It is only because I have been given tremendous amount of VHDL code written by a previous designer. Being only a beginner in VHDL I would find it more easy to comprehend its corresponding schematic rather than the code..

Re: VHDL to schematic conversion - qu(at)rtus II ?

You can use HDL Entry to import your vhdl code and you will see it as hierarchical schematic diagram with easy browsing. There is a trial version:

hi ,

just compile the design in quartus II, and view the RTL schematic,

and make print out, and draw with q_II , shc., desing and compare the two rtl is same then its done,
