vga controller

Hi everybody.
I want to design a board that drives a VGA display.
I have searched so much for a VGA controller, but i couldn't find anything unfortunately.
Is there anyone that can help me or suggest any chip or any method to me for designing such a system?

sorry but this is a monitor TESTER !
not a microcontroler to VGA adapter ....

No microcontroller was requested. He just wanted to drive :D

I think, my answer was correct.

May be he just want's to start with video. Then, it's a good point to start.

Could try using a CPLD or FPGA, add a crystal oscillator and some resistors to make crude DACs. Some of the FPGA evaluation modules have a VGA connector on them already and they are fairly cheap. You can download the development packages off the manufacturer's web site and they support schematic entry if you are not interested in VHDL or verilog programming.
