How to interface VGA OV7670 camera sensor module with LPC2148 micro controller? And is it necessary
to apply image compression algorithm for transferring them to SD card?

On what resolution and frame rate do you intend to operate the camera, once it is interfaced?

That depends on the frame rate at which you are operating your camera and the space of your SD card and the duration of your video(if you plan to take one).

Is it possible to get the images on the terminal through uart0? and if not , then can i get the default values of what camera is giving? like some hex code while interfacing it with LPC2148?

It all depends on the resolution(width by height) of the camera, which is given in pixels. If the data transmitted by the camera in bits/s is more than the maximum possible data rate of the UART in bits/s,then Interfacing is not possible.
