Hello there,

Can anyone tell me what are the advantages of opting a different top metal thinkess ? Its resistance and capacitance will surely change, but how does it influene area, timing and power ?

generally top metal layers (>4) are used for the power, so mainly effects the power and ir drop, with more thinkcness, less resistance gives improvmeent in power and less irdrop,
As thy r not used for signals mostly,, wont have much effect of varying thier thickness on time.
and definatly net area will increase but of less important.
