Hello, first post here, having some trouble with a project I am working on.

I'm trying to design a variable voltage, current controlled power source.

Input voltage is provided by 2x Ultrafire 14500 rated at 3.6V apiece, so 7.2V.
Output voltage needs to be between 3.5 and 6 volts, controlled and automatically adjusted by current.

Output current needs to be between 1 and 1.5 amps.

Like i said, I'd like the power source to be able to automatically adjust output voltage in order to provide the (user adjustable) 1-1.5 amps out.

Would a feedback assisted current mirror do the trick?
