i want to operate television like changing chanels using voice signal, how do i approach it?
if anybody have suggestions please tell me

There is a speech recognition chip is available.....Try this

TTS256 Text to Code IC for SpeakJet

or i think you can use a simple analog port of a PIC microcontoller...connect MIC to an adc port....take the adc values for some time...and match it with the templates stored already ......but the problem will be ...you have to talk the words exactly same as the templates...since here we use amplitude comparison...not the frequency..( you can give some range for the compared value i think)
