I am using a avr atmega8 development board to do my project. But now i cant burn my program like i was doing before, and the mcu just works with the last successfully burnt pgm, when i try burning the new program everything goes well and success msg s shown but it will still work in previous pgm. I am using Hidbootflash for burning and cvavr for compiling. To solve the problem i brought a new atmega8 and replaced it for old one, now i cant even recognise my board after connecting.
Please help; thanks in advance.

Using a Brand new Atmega 8 will never work and never get detected. Coz the original one is having a pre programmed bootloader and then you program the hex with HIDbootflash. Now its only way out is to use an external programmer like the USBasp and re-program the bootloader first and then use it as you used to..
Cheers
Pran
