[ARM] using cortex A7 jtag to debug cortex A53 in armv7 mode (32 bit)

Hello All,


Can a jtag debugger like lauterbach or j-link that has support for only cortex-a7/a9 be used to debug an ARM cortex-a53 processor, running in 32-bit armv7 mode? Will that work? does anyone have experience doing it?
