Use of darlington transistors as audio amplifiers

Just wondering if anyone has tried this yet, I'll do the experiment if it's never been done before but I don't want to risk anything if others have already blown something up.
I don't see anything wrong with it other than the switching rate of darlingtons, but I have put PWM through them.
