USB Mass Storage problem in vmware

Hi, I'm using vmware with linux as host and win2k as guest in vmware. I try to connect my usb in linux, linux is able to mount it properly. But, i could see any usb device detect in vmware? How to fix the problem? Do i need to recompile my linux kernel? I'm using debian linux kernel 2.4. Thx :roll:
