usb ulpi assertion

Can anybody help me to understand that what are the possible conditions which enables LINK to abort PHY in case of ULPI interface.

More details:
According to the ULPI Rev_1.1, section 3.8.4.2, LINK aborts PHY by asserting STP. LPI PHY will see the STP asserted and abort the transaction from PHY to LINK by deasserting DIR & NXT in the next cycle of STP assertion. It is OK & fine.

But, my question is..... what could be the possible conditions which causes STP assertion from LPI wrapper?

Thanks in advance.

In the last paragraph of section 3.8.4.2 it is specifically mentioned "it is primarily provided for the link to shut down a babbling port by disabling the phy."

I hope this would solve your problem.
