I need to produce a pcb and i dont have the standard gerbers, only this four files:
- .fab file;
- .geo file;
- .neo file;
- .wir file.

I believe that they are related with " mentor board station" because i saw it in one of the files.
Please i need help to open this files and produce the pcbs.

Thanks in advance for all the help!

yes they are mentor board station related.... you can use protel schematic and PCB software

First of all, thanks fot your help.
But i still need help. You said i can use Protel. Protel was discontinued, right? Can you please be more specific about what version i need download/buy to open this files?

And about Mentor Graphics (https://www.mentor.com/)? They don't have any tool to open this files?
I have PADS Layout and PADS Router (evaluation version) installed in my PC, but i can't open the files. Should it be possible?

Protel was discontinued, right?
Protel is now Altium Designer. But I'm not aware of the said file extensions used there. Perhaps a traditional Protel user can tell?

Perhaps more important, you should tell about the expected file type. Are these layout or post process files? Is there any indication, that these filese represent a complete design?

The first file seems like a post process output, containing component and pin positions
The three other are revealing as Mentor Boardstation design files: geoms_ascii, neutral_file and traces. The tech file, which also strongly advised for production output generation, is apparently missing. Unfortunately, I neither have Mentor Boardstation, nor another tool, that would be able to read it.

I found, that there are PCB production tools, that can convert Boardstation design files directly, e.g. from Valor.

**broken link removed**
A qualified PCB manufacturer may own these or similar tools. Another option would be to read in the files with Mentor Boardstation. The original *.attr file, the Boardstation project top is apparently missing, but it may be not necessarily required. A Boardstation user should know.

Mentor Board Station seems to be outdated too and replaced for other tool.

Any more help from Mentor Board Station users?
