Urgent:Interfacing DSP with dSPACE D1104 board using RS232

We are using TMS320F2812 DSP...we are trying to make it communicate with dSPACE .Even though we were able to connect it using the RS232 transciever,communication between the two devices is not taking place.Specially, the DSP is not able to send anything to the dSPACE side, where as the DS1104 board shows that its TXD register is full while transmitting.It would be great if some one could advice on this.Its pretty urgent.
