Hi

I have a LPC2148 ARM7 board. I am not able to program it using Philips flash utility.

when i tried Philips utility, it is programming, but not working. i tried flash magic tool.

In flash magic tool, it fails in verification phase, contains of the memory and hex file is not matching.

Please help me in this regard.

Can please point me to how ISP programming is done in case of LPC2148.

Thanks and Regards,
Ashok Kumar P

Check hardware, connectors etc. Can you read signature in Flash Magic?

Have you ever been able to program the ARM dev board successfully?

If so, using what technique?

Do you have a copy of the User Manual which you can upload?

The link for the User Manual on the product page is down.

Which RS-232 Port did you attempt to ISP with FlashMagic, Port 1 or Port 2?

When attempting to use FlashMagic did you have the Jumper BRK5 installed?

Also did you attempt to read the device signature of the LPC2148? If so was it successful?

I have attached. Yes Jumper is connected.

UART 2 is used

Using Philips utility able to read device ID sucessfully. not with flash magic.

when device id read properly, can i say Hardware is fine?

It does indicate you have successfully put the device into ISP mode. However, I find it troubling the FlashMagic is unable to function as expected.

Have you checked the configuration settings within FlashMagic?

Also, using the Philips/NXP utility, can you download an example HEX file into the device and verify it?
