UPS Rechargeable Battery

I want to replace my UPS battery.
The old battery was of 12V 9AH.
However I am only able to find
12V 7.2AH from the shop.

Is it Ok to use a lower AH battery?
Any ill effects on running my computer
or as a power backup during outage?

No. You may use the 7.5 ah battery as nothing will harm your PC. Hope it will affect the back up time by 20%. Mean if you were getting a backup of 10 minutes with the older one (when it was new) now you'll get 8 minutes with this new 7.2 ah battrey. Did my post Helped you? Good luck

One thing Pranam told you.
Second one is just check the charging current of UPS (I hope it will be less than 2A). Then nothing to worry about.

ENJOY!
