hi frnds,
I want to run the DC motor in one direction using PWM + DAC or ADC
1) First the program tell the max. speed of the DC motor
2) Gave input like 500RPM from KEYPAD then motor run on this specific speed.

Kindly tell me how can i build the program and if u have any material already done this then attach it
THANK YOU very much

Here's a quote from one of your older posts

I am final year student of ELECTRICAL ENGG. so now a days i search on choosing a final year project in ROBOTICS AND AUTOMATION.

Seriously have you ever attended your College?
What DC motor? Some are thousands of RPM some are a few RPM.
The MAX speed will be 100% PWM (DC)
Guess you gave up on your ICD project.
Do you think cheating your way through your diploma will get you a job?

What the hell you are saying man. You dont have any respect of others.
I am student. so student always on the learning stage not a complete coder ok.
So dont ask these things next time. you really hert my feelings.
I am sorry.

So this L293D DC motor i wanna use ok.
now tell me the way to program

I know you're a student, you've posted you're in your FINAL YEAR. I assumed College or University. Perhaps I should have assumed grade school. If I hurt your feelings that's nothing compared to getting a job once you're out of school. A job interview WILL ask you questions to determine your skill level. Why don't you ask your professor for advice?

The L293D is a quad half-bridge driver IC not a Motor. It's 600ma per bridge max so only very small motors.

You claim to be doing your final, but seem somewhat clueless. You keep changing your project but don't seem to want to post what you've done (probably because it's zero) but want people to post it for you.

Have you heard of Google? Simply type PWM MOTOR L293D and see what you get.

This is not my Final year Project.
it is mini project that i want to do for myself.
ok
so if i dont know about the exact DC MOTOR name then tell me the DC MOTOR names.
dont gave these comments.
n dont be oversmart bro.
ok

usman, you need very basic help. i would suggest googling about DC motors and learning about them before you come in here asking for a sliver platter to be handed to you.

but i try to be constructive too ..

here is a good place to get started

What do you want to build?

A DC motor controller?
What kind of DC motor? (Voltage, speed, power?)

Then you can make a decision on what kind of driver you need (e.g. the L293D as you suggest)

To control use a PWM OR DAC.
If the motor has a tacho an ADC can be usefull to determine the speed, but easier is a incremental encoder and connect this to a counter in your controller.

usman_star2 you've been a member since May 2006 and have learned about as much as you've contributed. ZERO
In your 75 posts you've crossposted or repeated the same message about 50% of the time and have requested not help but entire competed projects be delivered to you.
Not one post, none, zero, nada, have you contributed / shared your knowledge with any other person here, yet you expect someone to post a well documented project you can simply hand in to your professor. What's your plan if the project is garbage? You don't appear to have the skills or motivation to understand if a project would work or not, your professor hopefully will and then what's your plan?
Your vague and vapid posts show no sign of any skills or even effort on your part, that would partially explain why you're having such a difficult time with even the most basic projects.
Have you ever even tried using Google?
Anyway the RA-130 motor is a good match to the L293D. But since I have no idea where you are it's impossible to say if that motor is available to you.
Simpler answer buy a toy that runs on 3 to 6 VDC, take out the motor(s) and use them in your project.
PS if this project isn't part of your diploma then I would advise you to stop goofing around and make an effort to build your ICD which IMHO is a strange choice for a diploma project. Helps if you pick a subject you know something about.

you probably want this..

Mr.Cool

are you using microcontroller or parallel port. If you are using parallel port then here are some links for interfacing motor and keypad

If it is a DC motor that you are trinig to control, then look at my post here:
