Unable to edit or delete any metal wire in Cadence virtuoso layout

Dear all,

when i am opening my own any layout design in cadence virtuoso (version: IC_6), i am unable to edit the metal layer . Also i am not able to delete it and made no setting . Can anyone please help what happened and how to edit the layout design?? Earlier it was working fine.

Most likely, you've opened it in a read-only mode. Try File -> Make Editable in your layout viewer.

@sidun.av , thank you for the prompt response... but i am able to move the instance in layout.. so i guess it is not in read mode

Also check if all layers are selectable (press AS as highlighted) and that in objects palette all objects are selectable:

@sidun.av, yes layers were not selected. I had to select all the layers in palatte. Problem is solved. thanks a lot
