We are currently amidst our 4th year design project and we need to model a sensor for distance. Our professor has recommended us an ultrasound sensor model for reflection coeffecient. Ideally, we'd like to have a model of reflection energy/signal vs. distance for an ultrasound device. Does anyone know where I could find a good MATLAB model for an ultrasound sensor to measure distance in our project simulation? Having no experience in sensors or ultrasound, we're pretty lost and have no idea how to start this modelling. Any references or resources would be helpful.
