design wideband splitter

Hi,

Can anyone please suggest, how to make a combiner that can covers from 40MHz to to 2.5GHz? what ways can be achieved? They are for TV equipments......

Thanks for ideas

A resistive splitter is probably the easiest, provided you don't mind the insertion loss or need high isolation. If you want to get fancy, look into Pozar's book, Microwave Engineering for more suggestions.

hi,

you have a few variants:
1) 18 ohm resistors
6dB loss but very simple

2) Microstrip - Wilkinson
but u will need at least 4 stages, i built 3 stages and my BW = 200M÷2.5GHz

Hi David/guys,

Can you suggest any good reference for Wilkinson multistages design equations, on internet?

Thank you very much

There is an excellent search function in EDAboard. Searching for wilkinson gives many hits, for example

Hi,

I attached a few papers.
Of course u can find a lot discussion about this issue in this forum...

It is easy to buy such a splitter from stores or on the Internet. You need to look for one for satellite TV.
