if I want to open the file from MS Word which was created in ubutu word what application system do I have to install and where I can find all that????

OpenOffice.org 3.0 has native support for Microsoft Word 2007 XML documents. Unfortunately, Ubuntu didn't package this in with their 8.10 release due to time constraints. However, it is simple to upgrade by adding a line to your software repositories. Just follow the directions here:
