I am successfully interfaced UART( DB9 Female) port which is present on Spartan 3e FPGA.but i am unable to interfacing UART(DB9 male) port which is present on Spartan 3 E Fpga. What are the differences between these(Male and Female) two ports on Spartan 3e fpga.

Hello,

They are inverse data port.
Female port RX = Male port TX
Female port TX = Male port RX

Take it Easy!
Best Regard.

Dear sir,

Thank you for replay.I Changed the connections as per your suggestion. But still i did not getting the output. Is there any voltage levels differences between Male connector and Female connector.

1/ what are you exectly doing ?
2/ are you using evaluation board of some kind ?
3/ you can always check board schematics, if they are available.
