1\what is the advantage of pipelined adc compared to other type of adc?

2\for a 10bit pipelined adc(1.5bit per stage),what is the proper DC gain of the first stage's MDAC?i know, some margin is needed for DC gain, but how much margin is ok?20dB or 30dB?

pls help me.

1\ what other topologies do you wanna compare with? also, what are you concerned about, the speed, power consumption or something else?

2\ you need to understand your other requirements, such as your GBW, your noise limitation, settling speed, and etc. it's hard to give you any input just based on what you have posted.
