Does anyone have a paper about remote controls? Also, i would like a PIC application concerning tv remote controls. I appreciate all the help!

look with the keyword RC5 in google or something else. RC5 is a coding
scheme used for IR remote controls.

There is an Application Note on the microchip website https://www.microchip.com, about IR decoder using a PIC16C5x. Pls try it!

I don't know that you yourself make your TV remote or you decode a TV remote.
If you make yourself, you could use PT2248(IR transmitter) & PT2249 (IR receiver). Datasheet is available on internet using google to search (keyword: PT2248 datasheet).
If you want to decode a TV remote, you should use google to search them.
