Transformer Utilization Factor (TUF) can be used to determine the rating of a transformer secondary.

It is determined by considering the primary and the secondary winding separately.

electronics tuf

Salahshoor,
TUF is the ratio of DC power provided by a rectifier to the average of the VA ratings of the primary and secondary.
~
TUF = Pdc/((VAp + VAs)/2) = 2Pdc/(VAp + VAs).
~
TUF is a function of the rectifier topology.

Kral
