I'm looking for a solution (for x) of the following equation:
aLOG(1+(b/x)^2) = LOG(1+(c/x)^2)
Where a, b, c are distinct positive constants.
Can anyone help?
Regards,
Kral

assume a,b to be 1 and proceed to find c.using the value of c and b=1 find a.Using this value of a,c find b.Continue this iteration to get a,b,c.

neils_arm_strong,
Thanks for the suggestion. However, I was looking for a closed form solution rather than an iterative one. I strongly suspect the a closed form solution does not exist.

Kral

I think it's solvable if you use ellipsoid functions, try a CAS like Mathematica. (to make it's job easier maybe make the substitution x = j c sec...
