TRIAC for power control

Hi All,

I need to design a circuit for remotely controlling domestic electrical appliances. I choose to use TRIACs for AC power control to appliances.
Could you please guide me how to go about it ?

If you are intending just one relay with Simple IR detector circuit, you may have a look at this cicuit

If you are intending to drive more relay's with coded transmission and reception, a microcontroller is a must.
