Transmission Chain in AWGN channel using MATLAB

Hi all,

I have to design the transmission chain for single and multiple receive antennas in an AWGN channel and later calculate the BER. The carrier frequency is 3.8 Ghz, data rate 50 kbps and QPSK modulation is used. Can anyone tell me the steps on how to get started in MATLAB for this task.
