Should I assume this is the same as this?

Well that's a good question, it's part of a cold corona ozone generating device.. I just figured it was a voltage regulator transistor? Maybe the folks at Motorola can tell me for sure... hmm.. Attempting to draw up the circuit for a similar design to be submitted to professional circuit designer..

My goodness google sure is quick with indexing these days! I googled the number again and first thing that comes up in the search is a link to this thread! lol.. Only been a couple of hours.. wow..

The more I run through the various data sheets seems this is a likely suspect.. Only because the circuit pulses the induction coil that produces the high voltage..: )

Owl keep looking. I may even try calling Motorola tomorrow to see if I can reach someone there.
