I want to operate an IR Remote circuit
of 12V, 0.5A.(maximum) with 230AC.
For this I want to use resistor, capacitor, diodes.and IC(LM)7812.

Help me to form a seaf circuit without transformer.:| Suvendu(lipu)

These transformer-less circuits are practical for currents less than 100mA, the less the better ..
Realistically speaking, for currents in the range of 500mA the size of a safety resistor and heatsink for a Zener diode (combined) will be bigger than a 6VA step-down transformer, so my advice is – go for a small transformer, followed by a rectifier and a 12V regulator .. or buy an off-the-shelf el-cheapo-tiny 12V SMPS ..
