How does the ratio of maximum transconductance and output conductance(Gm,max/g0 )as a figure of merit affect circuit design performance e.g in a HEMT low noise amplifier?
 

Don't know about microwaves, but gm*Rout is the
maximum single stage DC voltage gain for analog
amplifiers. gm/gds is the same thing.
