Tips for designing pcb layout for pc motherboard

Hi all,
I am now working on a pc motherboard.
So can you pls guide me, what are the things to be noted while doing this design.

check platfom design guides at intel!
even if you are working with a not-intel processor.
for example 855 chipset platform design guide. its a public document. if you want to use a never intel chipset, you have to ask for the platf.des.guide for the new chipset, but the distributor will give you an access to them, if your boss signes an NDA contract with intel.
but the 855 design guide is good as a reference...
