i have now gotten a unit with a different manufacturer display
and i have checked that they are compatible
(they work in the other units etc) and probably 100% pin compatible
on the PCB it says
POWERTIP
PG320240X F
and the sticker
PG320240ERF-XNNHY2
the Die type chips says 102D2 and 045D5
and i think they are SED 1335 or RA8835
i have checked all the powertip datasheets avaible PG320240-c,d,e,f,h,j etc
and none are pin compatible with this lcd.
so i think it may be a custom replacement made when three five systems
went under ?
i have been tracing the pcb between the displays and im "guessing" this so far
1 gnd

6 lcd controllers Row only
7 EL backlight related
8 Clock (which one?) goes to flipflop for low high data shift
9 gnd
10 DATA (probably D0)
11 EL Backlight related
12 DATA (probably D1)
13 increment / ADJ probably for contrast / EL intensity
14 DATA (probably D2)
15 gnd
16 DATA (probably D3)
17 CS, Control probably for contrast / EL intensity
18 lcd controllers Row only
19 lcd controllers Row only
