I am assuming 2 contiguous QAM channels would never have a case where the 3rd order add up. Whereas the non-contiguous channel may. What say you?

So, probably non-contiguous would have better adjacent channel performances because they are not “ON” in the same time.

TO have IMD both signals must present same time.
