Hi,

Would 2 contiguous QAM channels have better third order linearity than 2 non-contiguous channels?

I am assuming 2 contiguous QAM channels would never have a case where the 3rd order add up. Whereas the non-contiguous channel may.

What say you?

I am not understood "contiguous" and "non-contiguous". Is it mean by adjacent channel or adjacent frequency? If so your assumption is wrong.

Contiguous channels refer to “adjacent in time”.
So, probably non-contiguous would have better adjacent channel performances because they are not “ON” in the same time.

I believe that there is no point on third order if they have “adjacent in time”. TO have IMD both signals must present same time.
