The technology library contains power information ?

The library that contains and supports power information is important for power estimation, isn't it ?

Could somebody tell me about this kind of technology library and how to add in my testbench ?

what do you mean about add this to your testbench?

common power estimation tools use simulation results, ex. VCD file to do power estimation.

Thank for you reply.
First I tried to make back SAIF format based on this topic:


But I failed in making MyDesign.saif in the below commmand because DC no longer support db format:

lib2saif -output MyDesign.saif MyDesign.db

After that I moved to make VCD by dumpfile in nc simulator and convert it to SAIF. My dout is that SAIF in second way and first way (in cited topic) is the same or not ?
